We've been trying NEW things at AAKS HQ! This is a brand new wall hanging created in collaboration with @ardeche_hotel_lagentilhommiere. Their team asked us to make these huge wall hangings for their boutique hotel in France, and we were delighted at the chance to bring their ideas to life.

In a recent Q&A we did on our Instagram Stories, I was asked what one of my biggest dreams for AAKS is. I answered “To be recognised worldwide as an African lifestyle brand, and to be stocked in all my dream stores”

What a year 2020 has been for us! As of this year, AAKS is now available in so many great stores around the world like Shop Bop and Industrie Africa. We were also invited to collaborate with several amazing brands!

One of the highlights of the year was our collaboration with Rag and Bone. I was approached by them and asked to create two designs for their store. It was such an incredible opportunity for AAKS!

We are so grateful to see our work continually being talked about globally.

What a whirlwind the last year and a half has been! We have been approached by brands and stores, big and small, to partner up, collaborate, develop custom designs and more.

It has been a busy start to 2021 for AAKS, after an extraordinary 2020. While it was a difficult year for us all in so many ways, for my little brand we have truly never had more exposure, more orders, more press - it was wild. 

After many years living in fast and sometimes frenetic London, moving back to Ghana was a reset. A way to relearn in how to Stop. Pause. Slow way down (not to a screeching halt, mind you). It was also a reaffirmation on sustainability, which is an unconscious lifestyle here.

Super grateful that AAKS has received so much wonderful exposure this year by various publications around the world.

What a whirlwind of a year it's been. COVID -19 had us concerned for a while, but Black Lives Matter came along like a force and my little team has been super busy ever since! We had over 15,000 new followers on our Instagram page and all our stock sold.
